I've always loved the classic "Moon River" ever since I heard Audrey Hepburn sing it in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" - even though I do prefer Andy Williams' version which I have on my iPod.   On Wednesday evening, I was down by the Mississippi River and the moon was resting right above the trees on the Illinois side.  Its beams were reflecting on the water - shimmering in the stillness of the warm, summer night.  I had to wonder if Johnny Mercer was sitting along a river bank somewhere with the moon beaming when he penned the lyrics.

It was a perfect moment to end the day - listening to "Moon River" with the moon gently kissing the Mighty Mississippi.

"Moon river wider than a mile
Crossin' in style someday
My dream maker - Heartbreaker
Wherever you're going, I'm going the same"
