I moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, in April 2018, after living in Washington, D.C. for many years. After a stormy and raining Saturday morning, I went down to the Mississippi river and walked into a misty fog blanketing the water - like a scene from The Phantom of the Opera.

It's 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning and I hear church bells ringing. One of the first things I noticed when I moved to Cape was the number of churches - beautiful churches - located in downtown.

Using downtown Cape as a canvas, I spent a few days capturing photographs with my camera set on color sketch mode. Cape G. never looked more brushed.
