I moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, in April 2018, after living in Washington, D.C. for many years. This is my online journal capturing photographs and life in this beautiful river city.

Just a simple post with a few comments about birds and words that I have seen around downtown Cape in the last few weeks -
with some spring trees thrown in.
Twilight is one of my favorite times of the day for photography - trying to capture the atmospheric feel of the blue and pink sky covering downtown Cape.
After a stormy and raining Saturday morning, I went down to the Mississippi river and walked into a misty fog blanketing the water - like a scene from The Phantom of the Opera.
It's 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning and I hear church bells ringing. One of the first things I noticed when I moved to Cape was the number of churches - beautiful churches - located in downtown.
