It moves quickly with intensity as it pushes south towards the gulf, bloated from the all the spring rain. The Mississippi River at Cape has been above flood stage for over a month, roaring downstream and living up to the "mighty" name. My pictures couldn't quite capture the river's power - you have to stand near it, but not too close, to experience its strength.
The force of water powers the Mississippi. Just respect its might. | The rails are lonely the flood keeps the trains away. I miss their whistles. |
