Cape Relic: EZ-Care Car Wash

Relic - an object surviving from an earlier time, especially one of historical or sentimental interest.

There is an abandoned car wash located on the corner of Themis and Middle Streets in downtown Cape.  I was a little curious about its history, but I didn't find any information after doing some online research.  

It's directional signage is still located on Sprigg Street so maybe it hasn't been that long since the car wash was operational.   I like how it was promoted as the Friendliest Self Service in town!  I guess the 'friendliest' is dependent on the customer since you serve yourself!  It made me chuckle a bit.  Interesting little relic located in downtown Cape Girardeau.
